Vision: A world where everyone deserves a decent place to live.

Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity is transforming lives in Eastern Jackson County, Missouri, by building affordable housing, revitalizing neighborhoods, and strengthening communities.

helping families build a strong foundation for the future

In Eastern Jackson County, almost 20% of residents face housing insecurities. As a home ages, homes can deteriorate which leads to unsafe living conditions. Many renters and homeowners spend more than 30% of their total income on housing. In addition, families face severe obstacles due to rising housing costs and the lack of affordable housing.

No matter who you are or where you come from, we all deserve to have a decent life. Every parent wants a better future for their family. A home creates a stable foundation that can transform a family’s life.

Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity is here to help make homeownership affordable and accessible to those seeking homeownership in our area. With your help, we can make this vision a reality.

Mission: Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

Families and individuals in need of a hand up can partner with Truman Habitat to build or improve a place they call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.

your impact

“Donating my time and talent to support Truman Habitat’s mission is so important to me, because I believe everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home. A decent home provides hope, opportunity, and a foundation for a better future. By helping build and strengthen communities, we’re creating a world where everyone has a chance to know what it feels like to say “welcome home.”
