Construction Build Days 

Volunteering on a construction site requires no previous experience. We will teach you all the building skills necessary on-site. We perform almost all tasks with our volunteers excluding foundation, plumbing, electrical, and roofing. We typically run construction every Wednesday through Saturday with some variations. You are more than welcome to gather a group and schedule a build with friends, faith community, or your job. An ideal-sized group would consist of about 8-12 individuals. If you are not part of a group but would still like to volunteer on a construction site, we reserve every Wednesday and the last Saturday of the month for individual volunteers. Construction workdays are typically from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm, and the tasks vary from week to week – anything from framing walls to installing doorknobs. Volunteers ages 16-17 years old are welcome alongside a responsible adult. They must have a waiver filled out by their parent/guardian to volunteer. Contact info(at)trumanhabitat.com for the waiver.

In-kind Donations may include building materials such as dry wall, lumber, electrical, flooring, roofing, and more!

 We are also always accepting donations of gently-used furniture for our ReStores. To donate to our ReStores, just bring in your donations during business hours or call and schedule a pick-up.
